Frank Walks Episode 38: Jon Gruden Presented by BODYARMOR
Jon Gruden, Cohost of The Shred Line, has brought his star to Barstool. Gruden does not need an introduction. He is one of the biggest personalities in the NFL. A longtime successful coach who won Super Bowl XXXVII with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Gruden is pure football.
Jon Gruden played quarterback at Dayton. He would become an offensive genius in the NFL. His first stop in the NFL was with the San Francisco 49ers in 1990. He joined the Green Bay Packers two years later and helped develop Brett Favre. Gruden quickly moved up the coaching ranks, becoming an offensive coordinator with the Eagles in 1995 and landing his first head coaching job with the Oakland Raiders in 1998. The most significant success for Jon Gruden was in 2002, when, after getting traded, he led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to their first Super Bowl in his first season.
After seven years in Tampa, Gruden worked in the booth for Monday Night Football, becoming a popular analyst for the next ten years. Anytime a coaching job opens, Jon Gruden's name is mentioned. He returned to the Raiders as they moved to Las Vegas. He now works for Barstool, bringing his unique insight to the Pirate Ship. Upon my visit to Chicago last week, I was lucky to stream games with Gruden and went on a walk that was quite memorable.
