Floyd Mayweather Has An 8-Foot Glass Portrait Of Conor McGregor In His New House
Independent- Undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather has revealed an enormous 8ft portrait of Ireland’s Conor McGregor, made from broken glass, hanging in his €20m Beverly Hills mansion.
He commissioned the two works of art prior to their meeting in Las Vegas last month, where the American emerged victorious via an 10th round stoppage.
He posted a photo of himself between the works with the caption ‘exclusive timeless artwork in my Beverly Hills home’.
If anyone out there still believed that Mcgregor and Mayweather actually hated each other leading up to this fight, this portrait should be the nail in the coffin. Because Floyd commissioned the portrait before the fight. And everyone knows you don’t hang flattering glass portraits of people you hate in your home. Unless it’s some weird revenge motivator, where you throw darts at the painting, drink lumpy old milk, and grow super long fingernails so you can drag them down your enemy’s likeness while cackling, “YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE LEFT WORK EARLY ON FRIDAY!” Meanwhile, your 14 pet parakeets are flipping out in the background because you haven’t changed their newspaper in weeks. You stopped going to the grocery store in July and you’ve just been eating canned corn off the shelves in your bomb shelter. You were saving the supplies for the apocalypse but your predictions were wrong and it still hasn’t arrived. Besides, if you get through all the food you stocked, you can always eat any of the various insects and rodents that have taken to sleeping in your bed. At first, their company was obtrusive and disrupting, but now you enjoy their companionship.
Haha anyway! Good to see Floyd is spending that fight money wisely. The IRS hit him with a massive back-taxes bill prior to the fight, so he’s spending carefully now. Just kidding. He just bought a $25 million mansion and now he’s filling it with broken-glass portraits because why not? If the money gets tight again, he’ll schedule another fight with someone who has never boxed before. Seems like a sound retirement strategy.
