Connor McDavid Has An Addiction To Embarrassing The New York Rangers, Makes Hockey Look Way Too Easy At MSG

At some point or another, he has danced the pants off of every team in the league. He has made every organization look foolish, and as if they've rostered a team full of beer leaguers who haven't sharpened their skates in 2 months.
But some teams just seem to get it worse than others. There are some teams that Connor McDavid just seems to enjoy annihilating more than the rest. You never want to be the team that makes the most frequent cameo appearances in McDavid's career highlight reel whenever he hangs up the skates for good, but the New York Rangers are now well on their way to being that team.
50 seconds into the game last night at Madison Square Garden, and he already managed to dance right through 4 Rangers players while on his way to throwing his 9th goal of the season into the back of the net.
He picked up the puck right at his own blueline, and you knew that puck was going to be in the back of the net the moment it touched his stick. If you let 97 get the puck in that spot with his legs moving at all, you are toast. We've seen it happen 418 times in his career so far.
But when have we seen Connor McDavid completely clown an entire Rangers lineup like that before? Oh yeah. He was doing the same thing 5 years ago.

215 goals later and he's still tormenting the shit out of the Rangers. It's just even more unstoppable now. He's still riding a 15-game point streak to start the season right now. 15 games, 9 goals and 30 assists. He became the fastest player in NHL history to get to 30 apples in a season.
Gretzky, Lemieux, Howe, Orr. None of them have come flying out of the gates hotter than McJesus this year. And even though he's slowed down lately (he's only had 6 points in his last 4 games…), McDavid is still on pace for 218 points this year. Granted, that would be in 4 more games than Gretzky played in '85-86. But still. We're a full month into the season and he's still on pace to be the first player to break 200 points in a season since the mid 80s. What a sick bastard.
