The Best Sound In Sports Is The First 20 Shots Of A Hockey Warmup All Drilling The Glass

The best sound in warmups is that extra crispy bardown "ping" coming off the pipe. It hits a certain note that just sends a shiver down your spine and directly into your plums. But it takes expertly precise placement and velocity to attain that perfect "ping". It's much easier to just rip a few shot

Contrary To Popular Belief, It Is Not Illegal To Let Your Buddies Take A Ride On Your Private Helicopter

Over the last few months, Pablo Torre has cornered the market on being the biggest rat in the media. He's a little weasel who is constantly on the prowl for any wrongdoing, and won't stop digging until he finds anything to loosely connect a conspiracy to reality. He's basically the sports media vers

The Eagles Might Legitimately Not Be Able To Field A Team This Weekend With So Many Players Out With Injuries

The Eagles put out this injury report yesterday where you can see that damn near half the entire roster was listed.  That's not even including Lane Johnson, who is still technically on the roster despite being retired. There are plenty of names on there who you'd expect to see. But so many names tha

You Should Be Forced To Retire On The Spot For This Soccer Penalty Kick

I've never dreamed about playing soccer because I'm a man who plays real sports like lacrosse and pickleball. But I have to imagine that this is what it has to feel like to play soccer in a dream. Where your body just completely malfunctions on you, you take the worst shot in the history of humanity

Rick Tocchet Has Diagnosed The Flyers' Problem, And Apparently It's Because The Defenseman Are "Too Horny" On The Ice

The Flyers obviously have a ton of issues right now. For starters, they can't win a freaking hockey game. That's a pretty big one if you ask me. 0-5-2 to start the season. In those 8 losses, they have scored a total of 10 goals. They have the fewest shot per game in the NHL, the fewest amount of goa

You Just Can't Go Around Hitting People In The Dick Like This

I'm sorry if this is a little too woke of me, but I just don't think in 2026 you should be going around and performing impromptu vasectomies out on the ice rink.  Fighting? By all means, go ahead. Want to light someone up with a greasy headshot? You'll need to answer the bell, but it's part of the g

Don't Worry, Everybody. The Eagles Season Has Officially Been Saved After Big Dom Promised The Team Would Get Things Fixed

Well there you have it. Why would you feel the need to panic anymore? I mean, sure, maybe the head coach is completely useless and his lack of situational awareness has now killed the Eagles for 2 weeks in a row. Sure, the offensive line can't block because they're just a bunch of dudes Howie Rosema

The Philadelphia Flyers Have Now Lost 8 Straight Games To Start The Season, And It's Time For Them To Commit To The Bit

The season started on September 30th filled with so much excitement and expectation. The Flyers were coming off of their first playoff appearance in 5 years. They had won their first playoff series (with fans in attendance) in over a decade. How were they going to follow that up, and build on that m

Here's A Foolproof Recipe To Follow When Cooking Your Ribs This 4th Of July Weekend

There's nothing more American than throwing some meat over a fire on Fourth of July weekend. Could be as simple as throwing some hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill for 15 minutes. Could be smoking a brisket for 15 hours. Could be something somewhere in the middle like cooking up a rack of ribs.  N

Smoking Brisket Is Great, But It's A Helluva Lot Easier When You Just Have To Reheat One That Gets Shipped To You

Cooking brisket is one of those things that just keeps getting more addictive the more times you do it. Once you get hooked, you're constantly chasing perfection from then on out. You'll spend 13, 14, 15 hours smoking this piece of meat looking to attain the best possible result you can get. And the

There Are Very Few Moments In Life More Satisfying Than Biting Into A Deliciously Juicy And Tender Beef Rib

Every once in a while you have to treat yourself. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the finer things in life. And it doesn't get much finer than a slab of beef ribs.  It's everything that is perfect about a slice of brisket, but just better. It's juicy, it's tender, it's packed with flavor. But now y

There's A New Brisket King Of New York

Last week I made the trip over to Brooklyn to help out my guy Ruben of Bark Barbecue compete in the 2022 Brisket King NYC.  Now obviously the BBQ scene in New York isn't necessarily on the same level as other places around the country Texas. But that would be like showing up to a high school footbal

The Meat Sweats BBQ Pop-Up Last Weekend Proved That Philly Is Officially A Barbecue City

This past weekend we had our 2nd ever Meat Sweats BBQ pop-up event. Last year's event was really special since it was the first one we ever did, but this year was insane. I had my guy Ruben of Bark Barbecue in Queens come down to Philly, we posted up outside of Urban Saloon in Fairmount, and before

Meat Sweats: Pork Belly Burnt Ends Always Get The People Going

When you're cooking for friends and family, there's always a chance you run into a few picky eaters. Maybe they've had a few bad experiences with eating dry brisket. Maybe they're just not a fan of the mess that ribs can leave behind. Maybe they've had too much bland pulled pork that was cooked in a

The Key To A Great Brisket Always Starts With Great Trim Job

What's a trim job? Well if you have to ask, you can't afford it.  The more I cook barbecue, the more I get people who are excited to tell me about the barbecue they're cooking themselves. It's great because I know if that person has a wife or a girlfriend, they sure as shit don't care to hear about

A Gobbler Sandwich Is Already The Best Way To Eat Your Thanksgiving Dinner, But Let's Make It Even Better With Some Smoked Turkey

Maybe you call it a Gobbler. Maybe you call it a Bobbie. Maybe you just call it a leftover sandwich. Either way, everybody knows that Thanksgiving food is always best when it's all stacked together and thrown onto a sandwich.   You've got the turkey, the stuffing, the cranberry sauce, you lather it
