The Eagles Are Playing Like A Bunch Of Dudes Who Can't Wait For Their Head Coach To Get Fired

What an incredible product we are getting out of the National Football League here, boys. A primetime, nationally televised broadcast between 2 heaping piles of dog shit. Doesn't get much better than that! Football, baby! America loves football! Even disastrously shitty football that nobody in their right mind should voluntarily watch.
If you were unfortunate enough to watch last night's slopfest, then you'll know that the Eagles have now gotten their shit kicked in two weeks in a row in primetime against a division opponent. It was an ass whooping at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys last night, and a pummeling by the Commies last night. And the worst part about it is just how unsurprising it all has been. Even going up against a team that has one single win on the whole year so far, I doubt anybody had a shred of confidence in the Eagles coming out of last night's game with a win. And that's how you know this ride is truly over.
The Eagles are an organization with championship pedigree. It shouldn't matter how many injuries are thrown this team's way. They should have that championship DNA where everybody who walks into that locker room can take care of business and beat a team that is 1-4-1. Even with all the injuries, there are only 2 explanations for how you lose that game last night. Either A) the team has just completely given up on the season, which is a reflection of the head coach's inability to keep the locker room together. Or B) they are just wildly unprepared to do their job, which is a reflection on the head coach's inability to have his team dialed in on all the little things that they can control.
Last night looked like a combination of the two.
That sequence right there should be all it takes for Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie to realize that Nick Sirianni has completely lost this team. He doesn't call plays on offense. He doesn't have anything to do with the defense. Nick Sirianni's entire job is just making sure his team is locked in on all the small details. And 2 simple, brain dead mistakes led to one of the most dysfunctional empty possessions of the season.

To a certain extent, the Eagles can't control the injuries they've been dealt with this season. It seems like they are doing something drastically wrong when it comes to strength and conditioning, but they've just had bad luck with injuries. What you can control is making sure that guys aren't jumping early. What you can control is making sure that everyone is lined up properly, especially your All-Pro tackle. What you can control is not throwing a clearly hurting Saquon Barkley out there for a meaningless carry to close out the 1st half.
It's dumb mistakes and idiotic decisions that only losing teams make. And once you become a losing team, it's hard to shake that mentality unless you tear it down to studs and rebuild the whole thing again.
This team either wants Nick Sirianni to get fired, or nobody gives enough of a shit to try to save his job. They have the Giants next Sunday, and then comes the bye week. 3 straight losses in the division could absolutely do the trick, and that could be the time Howie and Jeffrey Lurie finally pull the plug on this thing. The only issue is there's nobody in the building right now who can take over. Sean Mannion is looking like that hire was a massive mistake. Vic Fangio seems like he's already retired. Chris Kuper has turned Stoutland University into a community college. It's like handing over the keys to a beatdown '94 Honda Accord to a 13-year-old. Just shut it down.
