Brady Tkachuk's Return To Ottawa Is The Stuff That Most Villains Could Only Ever Dream Of
Brady Tkachuk is currently in year 6 of a 7-year, $8.2M AAV contract extension he signed with the Ottawa Senators back in October of 2021. He was the face of the franchise, for better or worse. It's not the prettiest face in the world, but Brady Tkachuk was the Ottawa Senators. He was the captain of the team, he was the heart and soul of Ottawa, he had an entire arena full of fans wearing his jersey every night.
Then shit hit the fan once Team USA won Olympic Gold in Milan. Folks in Canada lost their mind, couldn't handle Brady going to the White House, made his life miserable in Ottawa, and eventually Brady requested a trade out of there. Is it tough to see your captain request a trade in his prime? Oh I'm sure. But the bozos in Ottawa have absolutely nobody to blame but themselves for how they treated Brady after the Olympics.
And now here he is a few months later making his return to Ottawa with his hot new girlfriend--the Florida Panthers. He ends up on a wagon of a team, gets to play alongside his brother, and makes his return to Ottawa as the ultimate villain. I mean just look at this smile.

Canadian Tire Centre used to be filled with 17,000 people wearing his jersey. Now it's filled with 17,000 booing the everliving shit out of Brady Tkachuk. The "fuck you Brady" and "Brady sucks" chants were louder and more clear than anything you'd ever hear from Jets or Bills fans.
You had folks showing up to the game wearing what I'm assuming are Chunk masks, but also might just be part of the Brady Tkachuk costume found at their local Spirit Halloween.

Fans going nuts the moment that Brady got taken down and hit the ice.
It was a night built entirely on hatred and vitriol towards Brady Tkachuk. And what does that sick puppy go out there and do?
Score the first goal of the game, naturally.
That's the type of moments that most villains could only ever dream about. But Brady Tkachuk is a supervillain. He's a big bad. He was the King of Ottawa, and now he'll go back and bring that city to its knees if he has to. They could have just left him alone. They could have just realized that maybe they treated him like shit after winning the Cup, and it's their own fault he realized he didn't want to play in Canada anymore. But they chose this path for themselves, and now Brady has no other choice. He's a big boy who can make his own decisions, but Ottawa made this one for him.
