There Is Quite Literally Nobody Hotter Right Now Than Philly Sports

It was pretty touch-and-go there for a bit when it came to sports in Philadelphia.

The Phillies had a disgraceful end to their season. They were awful the entire month of September, and they sputtered out of the postseason in the wild card. The Eagles have lost 4 games in a row. Penn State isn't technically a Philly team, but there is obviously a huge Penn State contingency within the area. They suck ass at football. The Flyers started the year with 9 straight losses. Things were going horribly in Philadelphia.

But my oh my have things turned around. Right now, there's literally not a single city in the world that has it better than us. Because right now, the city of Philadelphia is the only city over the last 2 days that has gone undefeated in BOTH the NHL and the NBA.

The Flyers picked up a big time win against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night thanks to Matvei Michkov stuffing 2 in the back of the net.

The New York Rangers also picked up a win on Monday night. Which then led us into the NBA season opening up on Tuesday. The Knicks got to raise their championship banner, and they got to do it with the Philadelphia 76ers on the floor just watching. It was a special night for the Knicks, until some actual basketball started to get played.

28 points out of Tyrese Maxey. An alley-oop combination going from Jaylen Brown to LeBron James. A 106-100 season opening win for the Philadelphia 76ers. You really couldn't ask for a much better start than that.

Flyers win on Monday. Sixers win on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the city of Boston suffered multiple losses on Tuesday with both the Bruins going down to the Stars in overtime, and the Celtics dropping their season opener against the Pistons. Could the Red Wings come through and give the city of Detroit multiple wins yesterday? No. No they could not. because they lost to Seattle in a shootout.

So there you have it. Between Monday and Tuesday, there was only one city on the entire planet whose NHL and NBA teams both picked up wins. Hottest city in America right now and it isn't even particularly close. Oh, and I went 7-0 in my pickleball match last night so that's another dub. The LeBron Curse is a farce, and anyone who ever believed in it can pound sand.
