A 1-Punch Knockout Like This In A Hockey Fight Should Absolutely Count As A Goal

From the looks of what we have going on here, this appears to be some random semi-pro senior whale shit hockey league in Quebec. If you find yourself playing in this league, there is no real future for you. Nobody is going to the NHL. At best, maybe you could make a roster in the LNAH at some point, which is pretty much just a prison hockey league.

The point I'm getting to here is that this league shouldn't be beholden to the traditional rules of hockey. This is the type of league that could go full Banana Ball, and probably become highly successful for it. With that in mind, I think a 1-punch knockout like this should absolutely result in a goal going up on the scoreboard. I think a league where any won fight at all counts as a goal would be awesome, but things could definitely get sketchy there. A 1-hitter quitter like this is much more objective and easier enforce as a goal.

Now that I'm thinking about it, here would be the start of my perfect Banana Ball version of hockey. Knockouts count as a goal, no offside, we would steal the "jailbreak" rule from the WHL and a team who scores a shorthanded goal would release their own penalty, goalies can only cover the puck twice per period, and overtimes start at 3v3 then go to 2v2 and eventually would be decided by a 1v1.

P.S. -- Tough go for buddy in white. Credit for getting out there and dropping the mitts in the first place. But he clearly didn't read the scouting report before that game.
