LeBron To Embiid To Jaylen Brown. Check, Please!
Ishika Samant. Getty Images. It's one preseason game. It's a preseason game that the Sixers lost. We can't allow ourselves to get our hopes up too high. Especially not after what a disaster the past 2 weeks have been for the Eagles. Especially after what a catastrophic failure the Phillies have become. Especially not after the Flyers started the season 0-5. We can't get too ahead of ourselves here….but at the same time, we need this.
LeBron James. To Joel Embiid. To Jaylen Brown. A combined 5 NBA MVP's and 5 NBA Finals MVP's between the 3 of them. How are you supposed to stop that? If you don't stop LeBron, he kills you. So you step up to LeBron, and he moves the ball over to Embiid. If you don't stop Embiid, he either kills you or at least draws a foul. So you step up to Embiid, and he moves the ball over to Jaylen Brown. Even if you wanted to stop Jaylen Brown in the paint, he'd still have Tyrese Maxey to move the ball to. And if somehow by the stroke of god you manage to stop Tyrese Maxey? Well then there is still VJ Edgecombe waiting in the shadows.
Obviously the one knock on the Sixers lineup this year is that "there's only one ball". People love to bring up the fact that there is only one ball. But when you're moving that ball around like this, it has to feel like there are at least 3 of them out there.
Obviously the one thing that'll stop this team is when all of these guys aren't playing at the same time. There are going to be nights when LeBron is out. There are going to be nights when Embiid is out. It almost looked like we were going to lose Jaylen Brown for a bit of time after Embiid almost took his knee out.

But it's just all about saving as much gas in the tank as possible for the playoffs when you can roll all 5 of them out together every night to pick up those 16 final wins. It's not going to be 82 games of dominance. But I'll take at least 50 of these.
