Nobody Is Enjoying This Random September Nor'Easter Right Now Quite Like East Coast Surfers
For pretty much the entire summer, surfers on the east coast are stuck riding a bunch of shore breaks that might get up to thigh high on a good day. You wake up in the morning, check the Surfline report and pray to see 2-3'+. You know it's not even worth hoping for anything more than that. And this year there hasn't even been an early September hurricane to get the season going in the northeast. The flooding on the East Coast right now is pretty intense. There still hasn't been a hurricane this season, but when a random September nor'easter rolls through and gets the swell going? Well the boys are firing out there right now.
Most people on the east coast are just focused on making sure their homes stay somewhat dry. You've got cars completely under water to the windshield, and streets that look like you're in the middle of the bay.
But if you know what you're doing out in the water, it's like a playground out there right now.
And if you don't know what you're doing, then stay out of the water and just enjoy the show.
