Shoutout To LeBron Who Is Already Doing Some Scouting For The Eagles By Taking In The Rams vs Giants Game
I can already see it now. All the haters and losers are going to try to make a big deal out of this. "Oh look at LeBron! He signed with Sixers months ago and I don't think he's even stepped foot in Philadelphia since! And now he's cheering on the Rams? He must already hate it there!".
Giphy Images.There's nothing that grinds my gears quite like people making a big deal out of professional athletes cheering for a team from a different city in a different sport. If Joel Embiid wants to be a Green Bay Packers fan, he can be a Packers fan. He didn't grow up in Philly. If DeVonta Smith wants to be a Boston Celtics fan, he can be a Celtics fan. He didn't grow up in Philly. These guys all have their own, actual lives when they go home. And in those lives, they are sports fans just like the rest of us. Just because they play for a Philly team doesn't automatically lock them into being a diehard 4-for-4 guy.
But that's not the case here for LeBron. Because LeBron is all in on Philly. He was probably just pulling our leg about living in New York and taking a helicopter to practice every day. He's probably still looking for a home to buy on the Main Line, and he is lives and breathes Philly sports. Which is exactly why he was at the Rams game last night.
The Eagles play the Rams in week 4. That's coming off of a Monday Night Football game in Chicago for week 3. Short week plus travel. Getting the scout done for the Rams going is going to be a tall order for the coaching staff, but that's why you have a guy like LeBron James in town. He's able to go to the Rams game without raising any alarms. There's nothing better than scouting in person. You can watch all the film you want, but seeing it with your own eyes just gives you a much better feel for a team. I'm sure he has a detailed breakdown on every Rams starter already sitting in Coach Sirianni's inbox. Thank god for Lebron James.
