WOOOOOOO! WOOOOOOOO!

The Premier Lacrosse League was in Salt Lake City this past weekend. To close out the weekend, we had the Denver Outlaws taking on the Utah Archers. Two teams from mountainous regions. Denver and Utah have a nice little built-in geographical rivalry against one another. It's still a work in progress to get these teams to truly hate one another, but it sure sounded like Utah fans hate the shit out of Denver last night.

More specifically, out of Brennan O'Neill on the Denver Outlaws. He's one of the best lacrosse players on planet Earth, and the fans in Utah were booing him every time he touched the ball last night. It's the exact type of home field advantage you're looking to build in a new league.

The only issue...?

Brenna O'Neill is a sick bastard. He thrives in these environments. The more you hate him, the more he wants to destroy you. If you're going to boo Brennan O'Neill all night, he's going to make sure he actually gives you something to boo about.

He had 6 total scoring points on the night. Two 2-pointers, and two regular goals. The Outlaws won the game 15-10. I'm not much of a math guy but it feels like 6 points was probably the difference maker there.

We're still young in the life of the PLL. The fans in SLC are still learning, and this was a perfect learning experience for them. Maybe just leave Brennan O'Neill alone, and he won't make it his mission to light up your team every time the Archers are on the schedule.
