The Phillies Scoring 2 Runs Half A Second Apart From Each Other Is The Most Mesmerizing Video In Baseball This Year
The Philadelphia Phillies beat the balls off the Mets last night. Spanked them into Bolivian.
The kill shot of the night came in the bottom of the 7th inning. Bryson Stott launched one off the centerfield wall. Now considering the guys who were on base, you figured it was just going to drive in 2 runs maximum. Alec Bohm is slow as molasses, and while you may not think of him as a slow guy, it looks like it physically pains Nick Castellanos to run. With those two guys coming in from 3rd and 2nd, it looked like a nice little 2 rbi hack out of Stott.
But that's when JT Realmuto decided to turn on the jets. The Best Catcher In Baseball still has plenty of giddy up in those legs, and he decided to light a quick fire behind Castellanos' ass.
He damn near passed him. I'm sure he could have passed him if he actually wanted to. Castellanos was driving in a school zone, and Realmuto was flying down the Vine Street Expressway.

It's almost like he was drafting behind him. This shit right here is art. It's almost like he was drafting behind him. He came all the way from 1st and was literally catching a ride on Castellanos' ass. The only way it could have been any cooler is if it was Trea "Fastest Man In America" Turner bringing up the rear right behind them. Then we really would have had to pray for Tank.
