City Of Champions: Plan The Parade Down Lancaster Ave Because The New Pope Went To Villanova

Name another college or university that has won multiple NCAA National Championships AND produced a Pope.

It's not Michigan. It's not Duke. It's not North Carolina. It's not Alabama or Georgia or any SEC school. It's THE Villanova University. From Jay Wright to Pope Leo XIV, the Wildcats have now cemented themselves as the biggest powerhouse in college sports.

There was a time when nobody thought that a Pope would even know about the existence of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. You had Popes coming from all corners of the world. Rome, France, Argentina, Germany. Why would the Pope ever know about little old Delco? But now here we are in the year of our lord 2025, and the Pope graduated from school in Delco. This hoagie mouthed Pope is grabbing Wawa at 2am on a Saturday night before heading into Sunday mass. I know he's originally from Chicago, but I guarantee you that he's uttered the phrase "Go Birds" at one point in his life. He probably ordered cheesesteaks for everyone in the conclave once he was elected.

And if there was still any debate going on as to whether or not Villanova is technically a Philly school, this puts an end to it for good. Villanova is Philly. Which means that we have the world's first ever Philly Pope. See you all at the parade on Sundee.
