Teams Will Never Be Able To Stop The Tush Push Now That The Eagles Have Invited Former Rugby Player, Carsen Patu, To Rookie Camp

The most common complaint about the tush push is that it's a "rugby play". Despite the fact that Jordan Mailata, who played way more rugby than anybody else, said that the technique for the tush push is absolutely nothing like what he would do for rugby. But that's besides the point.

If people want to keep bitching that the tush push is a rugby play, well then the Eagles are just going to get even better at it by bringing in more rugby guys to the organization. They've already proven that as long as you have the right coaches in the building to develop guys over a couple years, you can turn a former rugby player into an All-Pro. Give these Eagles coaches a slab of meat to work with and they'll sculpt out the perfect football player you could imagine. So their next project is 21-year-old Carsen Patu.

There's a little discrepancy on the height and weight, but there's no denying the fact that this dude is an absolute nail gun.

Jordan Mailata. Jalen Hurts. Saquon Barkley. Carsen Patu. The Eagles locker room is looking like a butcher shop with how much meat they've got flying around in there. There's been a lot of discussion on the internet lately about 100 men vs 1 gorilla. If that fight goes down in the Eagles weight room, then it's a bad, bad day to be a gorilla.

And even if the league decides to be a bunch of cowards and ban the tush push, the Eagles are going to continue shoving it straight up everybody's ass in short yardage situations. Honestly it could even be better for the Eagles if the tush push got banned. Because at the end of the day, it's a lot of wear and tear on some guys who are getting paid a ton of money to be out there on the field. The Eagles could avoid the risk and just throw Jordan Mailata and Carsen Patu out there on 4th and 1. 2v11, I think those two would be able to pick up the 1 yard at 90%.

My only one hang up about inviting this kid to minicamp is that the Eagles don't have the greatest track record with having Carson's on the team. Granted, Wentz paved the way for the Eagles to get to the Super Bowl in 2017. But that's a name that just doesn't need to be around the locker room right now. Give the big fella a nickname right away and we should be fine.
