Saquon Barkley Played A Round Of Golf With The President But Nobody Is Asking The Right Question

There's almost nothing better than getting invited to go play a quick 18 on a beautiful Sunday morning. It's the way that every Sunday should be spent. Grab a quick breakfast in the morning, order a Bloody Mary for your range session to start finding the swing and shaking off the cob webs from last night, pick up your first birdie of the day on hole 6, settle yourself into the round with a transfusion from the cart girl, really start to move the ball around at the turn, and then have the wheels completely fall off on holes 15, 16, 17 to ruin your round before cleaning it up with a comfy par on 18 to keep you coming back for more. It's why God invented Sundays in the first place.

But when you get invited to play a round of 18 with the President of the United States? Well that's an invitation that you jump in on every single time. No matter who the President is, you take him up on the offer to swing the clubs around with the Leader of the Free World.

Unfortunately for Saquon Barkley, there are a bunch of dipshits on the internet whose brains are broken and immediately turn it into something more than that. They'd never be in the position to have the honor of getting the invite out for 18 with the President, but they want to act high and mighty and say they'd turn it down anyway. So Saquon dealt with a little backlash from his decision to go out with President Trump, and he responded to it the best he could.

Basically this: "pipe down, nerds".

He's not out there to discuss policy. He's trying to put a tiny white ball into a little hole that is 438 yards away in as few swings as possible. The dude loves to golf, and he has pride in his country. I don't know when that became such a bad thing, but here we are.

Anyway, people are obviously up in arms about the Sunday pairing. But throughout all the outrage online, I haven't seen one single person as the right questions.

How did he play? What did he card? I feel like standing on that first tee box with the President standing directly behind you has to be an all-time nerves swing. But then again, this is Saquon Barkley we're talking about here. Super Bowl Champion. This man is nails, and plays his best in the biggest moments. Maybe he doesn't have nerves. Was it match play? Auto press? How much were they putting on each hole? Everybody wants to bitch about Saquon Barkley playing a round of golf with Trump, but not one person asked about any of the details from the round. I need to know if Saquon closed out the President 4&3.

I just wish we had journalists out there who could actually do their job for a change. The best athlete in the city of Philadelphia just played a round of golf with the President, and we don't even know what handicap he was playing off of. For the love of god, people, get it together. At least tell me who had the longest drive of the day.
