Fire Up Your Finest Pair Of Jorts, Because Andre Agassi Is So Back

The 90s were a helluva time. You could still smoke cigarettes inside. They made the best basketball player in the world go play baseball for a year because he couldn't stop gambling. And the best tennis player on the planet was an American.

Andre Agassi owned the 90s, and he was the only men's tennis player to complete the career Grand Slam in that decade. He won Wimbledon in '92, the US Open in '94, the Australian Open in '95, and finished it off with a win at the French Open in '99. All while wearing jean shorts. That's how much the 90s ripped. The best tennis player in the world was rocking Nike jorts and still couldn't be beat.

I'd give anything to go back to the 90s. And it looks like we'll at least be getting a little bit of the 90s back next week because Andre Agassi is finally getting back on the hardcourt to compete at the US Open.

That's right, bitches. Andre Agassi is making his professional pickleball debut next week at the US Open. And there's a good chance he ends up winning because he'll be playing alongside of Anna Leigh Waters in mixed doubles. The #1 ranked women's player in the world, who wins gold pretty much 9 out of every 10 times she steps on a pickleball court.

She wasn't even alive when Andre Agassi was winning grand slam titles. She just turned 18 this year, so she'll probably have to do most of the heavy lifting if she wants to carry the old fella to another championship. Usually when she's winning mixed doubles every tournament it's when she gets to play with the #1 ranked men's player in the world. But 54-year-old Andre Agassi still has plenty of gas left in the tank.

Pretty much every time he's out on a pickleball court, he's been wearing either all black or a little bit of red thrown in there. But let's just hope he decides to pack a deep back for Florida next week. The man was an absolute wardrobe demon.
