"It's Been A Ride" - This Moment Between DeVonta Smith and Jalen Hurts Can Make Grown Men Weep

Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith now share a bond like quite literally no other QB and WR have ever shared before. This past Sunday they became the first QB WR duo to win a college football national championship and a Super Bowl championship together. Now obviously that college football championship had a little help from Tua thrown in there, but the fact of the matter is that their relationship goes back to 2018 in Tuscaloosa. They had 2 years together in college, ended up both getting drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, and just wrapped up their 4th season together with a Super Bowl title.

They've had a ridiculous journey together that has seem them experience the highest of highs at both levels. But throughout the past few years in Philadelphia, they've also experienced some ridiculous lows. Losing the Super Bowl in 2022. The season completely going off the rails in 2023. All the narratives in the media this year about how Jalen Hurts isn't the guy, and that the passing game could never get going. They've gone through all of the ups together, they've gone through all of the downs together, and now they get to be Super Bowl champions forever. All while winning the whole damn thing in Smitty's hometown.

This is exactly why the Eagles are poised to be a consistent threat to win multiple Super Bowls as long as guys like Jalen and DeVonta are wearing midnight green. So many teams talk about connection and togetherness. It's easy to talk about it, but these guys? Along with other leaders in that locker room like Nick Sirianni, Saquon Barkley, Lane Johnson, Brandon Graham. These guys don't just talk about being connected and together, but they went out and were one of the most cohesive groups of men you'll ever come across. Not just in football, but in general. This clip is all you need to see to know what type of relationship these guys have on that team, and what type of a leader the rest of the guys on that roster view Jalen Hurts as.

I'm just pissed these two have me crying again. That Jalen bomb to DeVonta to make it a 24-0 game was the moment of the Super Bowl where it finally hit me that the Eagles were going to win, and I cried like a little bitch once that ball hit Smitty's hands.

And now 1 and 6 have me going again. Goddamn assholes, man. Give me something to dry the eyes with.

Okay there we go. Now we're back. Y'all better stop mother fuckin' playing. The Eagles have some catching up to do now.
