Super Bowl Champion Kellen Moore Is Taking Off To Become The Next Coach Of The New Orleans Saints

I said before the game on Sunday that there would be no hard feelings with Kellen Moore leaving after just 1 season as the Eagles' OC to take the Saints job, just as long as he went out there and called an incredible game in the Super Bowl.
The Philadelphia Eagles offense put up historical numbers this postseason. 145 points was the most that any offense has put up during a Super Bowl run. 95 combined points in the NFC Championship and Super Bowl, and the Eagles only trailed for a total of 5 minutes the entire postseason. They were down 7-6 to the Rams for a little bit because Jake Elliott missed an extra point, and that was the only time this offense didn't have their foot on an opposing defense's throat.
So yeah. It's safe to say that Kellen Moore held up his end of the bargain and then some. He finished the job, brought another Lombardi Trophy to the city of Philadelphia, and now he deserves a chance to be one of only 32 men in the world who can say they are a head coach in the NFL.
The Eagles are becoming a premier destination for coaches who are looking to elevate their career. I have no doubt they'll be able to bring in somebody great to replace Kellen. Over the span of 3 years, Nick Sirianni has now had 3 coordinators go on to get hired as head coaches. If you want to become a head coach in the NFL one day, you want to work in Philadelphia and you want to coach under Nick Sirianni.
This has been the trajectory of Kellen Moore's coaching career for a few years at this point, but it took Nick Sirianni and the Eagles to help him get over that hump of just getting interviews. I'm sure there's someone else out there right now who wants the same thing for themselves, and they'll be jumping at the opportunity to become the next Eagles' offensive coordinator.
Also, I know that much has been made about the fact that Jalen Hurts has had to play for a new offensive coordinator in pretty much every year but one in his career going back to college. I was a little worried about that before because it seems like he's never able to have any sort of consistency with the offense, and constantly has to learn a new one every year. But after Sunday night's performance, I'm convinced he could run whatever offense he wants at any time. He was so in control of the line of scrimmage, and so in control of the game all night long. The Offensive Coordinator at this point is just a formality for Jalen.
So best of luck to Kellen Moore in New Orleans. Obviously it's going to be painfully different going from the situation and roster he had here in Philly to the one he's stepping into in New Orleans. But he's earned that right to be a head coach in this league, and he's a champion forever.
