WEIRD: Eagles vs Chiefs Was The Most Watched Super Bowl Ever Despite Everybody Saying They Weren't Going To Watch It

Wait a minute. No....that can't be.

All we were told leading up to Super Bowl LIX, a Super Bowl in which the Philadelphia Eagles won their 2nd Lombardi Trophy in franchise history, is that nobody was going to watch the Super Bowl this year. Everybody said they're so sick of watching the Chiefs. Everybody said they're so sick of watching the Eagles. All you people were saying was how tired you are of this matchup, and how you couldn't care less about this game.

So either these numbers are wrong, or 126 million of you are a bunch of greasy little liars.

I mean, listen. I'm not mad about it. I think it's a great thing that 126 million got a chance to watch Cooper DeJean make his first interception of his NFL career in the Super Bowl and run it back to put a quick 6 on the board.

I think it's a great thing that 126 million got a chance to watch Jalen Hurts deliver this monstrous dagger to DeVonta Smith.

I think it's a great thing that 126 million got a chance to watch Jalen Hurts, yet again, outperform Patrick Mahomes on the game's biggest stage. I think it's a great thing that 126 million got a chance to watch the Eagles put on a masterclass on both the offensive line and defensive line. The fact that 126 million got a chance to watch the Eagles sack Patrick Mahomes 6 times despite not sending a blitz the entire night?

I think it's a wonderful thing that everybody got to witness that. I am so happy for all 126 million of you who were able to watch the Philadelphia Eagles win their 2nd Super Bowl in franchise history, and perhaps set up the chance for them to start a dynasty of their own.

I'm just a little confused, is all. Because as I mentioned before, everybody said they weren't going to watch this game. And if nobody watched this game, then I just don't get how 126 million people watched it. Do you see where my confusion would be with that?

Anyway, I'm sure that there were plenty of people hate watching on Sunday night. I'm sure there were plenty of people watching just for the chance to see the Chiefs' dynasty come crumbling to the ground. But I'm also sure there were millions upon millions of Eagles fans tuning into that game. So if maybe like just 5% of you could buy some merch right now, that would be great.
