Philly Fans Put On Another Dominant Performance On Broad Street To Celebrate Another Super Bowl Championship

The Philadelphia Eagles had the most dominant performance of the night. That much is a fact. Vic Fangio dialed it up and the defense completely suffocated the "supposed" GOAT and mercilessly bullied Patrick Mahomes all night. Jalen Hurts put on a masterful performance yet again in the Super Bowl, and proved that he's as good as anybody has ever been on the biggest stage in the game. Jake Elliott went 7-for-4 on field goals, which shouldn't seem possible but it was thanks to a few false start penalties. It was as close to a perfect performance as you could get out of a football team.

But the fans came through in a close 2nd place.

Last night's win felt so much different than the 2017 Super Bowl. That was the first one this city ever experienced, so obviously it was going to be filled with a little more "oh my god, I can't believe it" energy. Just pure shock and disbelief that the Philadelphia Eagles had managed to climb to the top of the mountain and win that first Lombardi that had been evading Philly for so long.

Last night's win was one of pure dominance. Of a team who had so clearly been the best team in football since their bye week. The best team the city of Philadelphia has ever seen. So the celebration wasn't one of shock and awe, but rather from a fanbase that knows in full certainty that the greatest football team in the world resides in Philadelphia.

The good news for the city of Philadelphia is that we can save money in the budget for greasing the poles. No need to lube them up anymore, Philly fans will just tear them down and parade them through City Hall.

What makes Philadelphia so special is that we're an NFL town, but with big college football energy. Best fans in the world and it's not particularly close.

The only cowboys who got to celebrate a Super Bowl victory last night were the Philly concrete cowboys.

Just imagine if aliens were dropped into the middle of Philadelphia last night. You look one way and you have a group of folks carrying around a traffic light they just ripped out of the ground. You look the other way and you have a bunch of dudes riding on horseback through the city. And then you look right in front of you and you see a proposal go down in the middle of the madness.

I love the Eagles. And I love love. What a moment. Rings were the main theme in Philly last night. And I guess a little bit of fire was also a theme.

Down goes Kermit! Down goes Kermit!

I wouldn't say the celebration last night ever took on any malicious or nefarious intent. However, the cops did have their hands full towards the end of the night. Just like the Brotherly Shove, you can't stop Eagles fans.

But all in all, there were minimal arrests, minimal injuries, a little bit of damage but nothing TOO crazy. It was a great night for the city of Philadelphia to celebrate our dominance. And a great night for the city of Philadelphia to celebrate our Inner Excellence.

Go Birds.
