Our Long National Nightmare Is Over: The Sixers Have Finally Congratulated The Eagles On Social Media For Winning The NFC Title
Well I guess Josh Harris finally let the Sixers' social media admin out of their straight jacket. Because 48 hours after the Eagles completely dismantled the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game, the Sixers finally congratulated the team on heading back to another Super Bowl appearance.
AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, Parris Campbell, Brandon Graham, Reed Blankenship, Cooper DeJean, and Slay all made an appearance at the Sixers game last night. Obviously with LeBron in town, there would be a decent amount of guys on the team who would want to be courtside for this one. Maybe if the Sixers were playing against the Jazz, there would be less of a turnout for this one. It would just be Britain Covey and Tanner McKee. But with LeBron in the building, it brought everybody out.
Quick sidenote here, but it absolutely breaks my heart seeing Cooper DeJean start to take his hand out of his hoodie pocket, only to then realize he's not getting dapped up by LeBron. Reed Blankenship at least had the veteran awareness here to know he was never going to be a part of that dap rotation, and saved himself from potential disappointment. In Coop's defense, he looks like any ordinary kid with a rich dad who got him courtside seats to this game.
But either way, the Sixers social media team finally congratulated the Eagles on being NFC Champs. Our long national nightmare is over, and we no longer have to carry this story into the rest of the Super Bowl lead up. And who knows, maybe this is the exact type of change in attitude the Sixers need to turn their season around. That, and Bronny James getting 15 minutes against them.
