"I Hate Eagles Fans" - Looks Like Rams Linebacker Jared Verse Just Signed Himself Up For 4 Hours Of Hell In Philly This Sunday
Listen. I get it. Jared Verse is a rookie. He's young and he doesn't know any better. He grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania, so I'm sure he's dealt with a few Eagles fans up there. It's not exactly die-hard Eagles territory, however, so I doubt he ever got the full experience. That is, of course, until earlier this year when he had to deal with Eagles fans as an opposing player for the first time in his career. And boy oh boy what an impression it left on the young man.
"When I see that green and white I hate it. I actually get upset. I actually genuinely get hot.".
What a quote. It's literally music to an Eagles fan's ears. An opposing player who hates this fanbase so much that he gets upset the moment he sees Eagles colors. And now that guy is coming to Philly on Sunday to play in an NFC Divisional Round playoff game? Are you kidding me? It's the perfect storm.
Think Orlando Arcia in the 2023 NLDS.
Think Shaq Lawson and Jordan Phillips in Philly last season.
All Jared Verse had to do was leave it alone and he would have been fine. He'd get a few chirps thrown his way here and there just because he's on the Rams. But the moment this fanbase sniffs some blood in the water, it's time to go in for the kill. It's going to be 4 straight hours of hell for him at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday afternoon. At least it'll be a good learning experience.
