Flyers Fan Tries To Get A Contract With The Team By Sucker Punching A Couple Of Maple Leafs Fans

I'll be honest--I've been going back and forth in my head for about an hour now trying to figure out if these were sucker punches or not. I think anybody with at least a touch of reality in their system knew that a couple haymakers were going to be tossed the moment buddy went climbing down 5 rows of seats and started pointing in the faces of those Leafs fans. It's not like there wasn't any provocation. Leafs beat the Flyers in back-to-back games, and now you have some shmuck wearing an Auston Matthews jersey he just bought last week talking shit to an entire section of Philly fans. I know it's just a game and that you'd think most people would be civilized enough to not start physically assaulting others over a game, but that's just not the world we live in. If you take it upon yourself to talk shit to an opposing fanbase while in their arena, there's always at least a mild threat that you're going to get hit.

Nobody told that to this poor sack of shit.

He's about to get rocked yet he's still just waving his hands in ol' boy's face. You just have to have better awareness than that. That's like admiring a drop pass through the top of the slot while you're on the ice against Scott Stevens. You're about to get cooked for dinner and you don't even realize you're on the menu.

Now here's where things get really interesting. I don't know who this is a worse look for--the Leafs fans for not even thinking that getting punched in the face was an option here, or the Philly fans for throwing that many uncontested punches and not knocking either of them over. Granted, the glass definitely helped keep them up. But still. If you're going to unload the clip on a couple of unsuspecting hosers, it's a brutal look to have both of them just stand there and eat those punches.

At the end of the day, I don't think this fella is cut out for the Broad Street Bullies. He might have some fight in him, but it's not the right kind of jam the Flyers are looking for. He's certainly no Dave "The Hammer" Schultz or a Dan Carcillo.

He should probably start looking for a lawyer though, all things considered.
