This Incredible Point Has The Pickleball Haters In Absolute Shambles

But wait a minute I was told pickleball is for unathletic geriatrics who can’t keep up with the pace of tennis? Surely this can't be...

One of the weirdest behaviors, in my opinion, is when people feel the need to police what and what's not considered a sport. As a hockey/lacrosse/pickleball guy, I'm incredibly familiar with this. Hockey a little less so, but niche sports always bring out sports police. A highlight will make it's way onto social media and the comments will be filled with a bunch of good for nothing anonymous accounts saying it's not a sport.

Bad news for the haters on this one is that there's nothing they can say unless they want to be completely full of shit. This point had a little bit of everything. A couple great hands battles, some big time overheads, some great resets, and not quite a full-blown body bag to end the point but still a heavy tag from Julian Arnold to put that one away. Plus the big time celly at the end of the point? What else could you possibly want. I mean, yeah, it's not tennis. But that would be like saying the 100m isn't a sport because it's not running a marathon. They're both 2 wildly different versions of the same thing.

All I'm saying is that for every Johnny Jerkoff in the comments who wants to complain about pickleball not being a sport and just being a psyop, all I ask of them is to play it one time. You're either going to 1) get addicted to the game because it's insanely fun to play, or 2) get their dicks kicked in so hard by a bunch of 65-year-olds that they never pick up a paddle again. Either outcome is a win for pickleball.
