BREAKING: Professional Athlete Sleeps Around With Multiple Partners Without Ever Having Intentions Of Being Romantically Involved

By now I'm sure the majority of you have seen the story going around of a young woman who had a little rendezvous with a Phillies player, which resulted in her getting ghosted, blocked, and becoming celibate after the encounter didn't play out the way she thought it would in her head. In case you missed it, Karim wrote up a blog here.

First of all, I'd like to sue Karim for libel based on this headline which makes it seem like the Phillies player allegedly in question here didn't perform well in bed which resulted in this young lady becoming celibate. That's the headline of a hit piece if I've ever seen one. Let the record show that the Philadelphia Phillies all know how to throw down in bed.

But let's get down to brass tacks for a moment here, shall we? Because here's the deal--I feel bad for this young lady. I truly do. I'm not here to continue piling on her because at the end of the day, this is somebody's daughter who clearly went through a bit of a spiral because of this situation. And you don't ever want to see anything like that happen, and you ESPECIALLY don't want to see them air it all out there on social media.

With that being said, I'm just here to give a quick lesson to anyone out there who has found themselves in a similar situation. It's pretty apparent this girl doesn't have an older brother to teach her these things, so allow me to just take on that role for a moment. Because one thing about professional athletes, and especially single ones, is that the fellas enjoy the fruits of their labor. One of the perks of being a pro athlete is you have the chance to sleep with pretty much half of the city that you play in. Pat Burrell did it while he was on the Phillies. Mike Richards and Jeff Carter did it while they were on the Flyers. Pro athletes everywhere constantly have women throwing themselves at them, which leads to plenty of "love 'em and leave 'em" type of encounters like this.

More often than not, it's a completely harmless transaction. Both parties involved get exactly what they were looking for, and then move on with their lives. But every so often, there's someone who thinks that encounter is more than it actually was. And sure, at some point there's someone who comes along to make an honest man out of these athletes. But there are at least dozens who come before that. It's just the way it works. The fact that this girl had so many others reach out to her saying they had the same experience with this alleged player isn't some "gotcha" moment, it's just reaffirmation that this is the way it's always been.

The fact of the matter here is that more often than not, you probably shouldn't expect a text back from a pro athlete. Especially not if his preferred mode of communication is through Snapchat. Again, I feel really bad for this girl because that was an excruciatingly brutal amount of oversharing she did in that video. So if this little life lesson from your old pal Jordie can save just one person from making the same mistake, then it's all worth it.

Sidenote: Jeter had the right idea the whole time with the gift baskets.
