Pour One Out For Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Jaren Hall Who Was Released After Leading The Entire NFL In Pre-Season Passer Rating

Brutal reminder that no matter how hard you work and even sometimes how much that work pays off - you still might not be good enough. Let's sum up the full 2024 pre-season Jaren Hall experience in three tweets.

I know it's pre-season so the stats are all skewed but what a brutal outcome for Jaren Hall - the leading quarterback in 2024 pre-season passer rating (min 30 attempts).

What are we doing here Minnesota Vikings? Who's mom did Jaren slide into DMs with? I also can't help but notice your tweet is worded like it came from Shefty or Rapaport. Like you weren't the one that did it. Say what you will about pre-season stats, but you waived the statistical best performing quarterback this pre-season when your Week 1 starter is Hey Darnold.

You won't find Brett Rypien on this list since he didn't meet the attempts threshold but I have him at 96.16 passer rating, going 13/19 for 169 yards. He was no slouch himself in pre-season so maybe this will all work out. But just a brutal situation for Jaren, a fringe quarterback to go through. What more did you want him to do? Kick the extra points too?

Let's pour one out for Jaren. We've all been there. Doing everything you're asked and more and still getting dumped. Very relatable.

I'm working on some more pre-season stats for a fun break down and this will put a damper on him winning the "Pre MVP" award. Might have to go Josh Johnson now who is the only quarterback with a better passer rating with a lower attempt threshold (147.92 on 16/18 for 192 yards 2/0).
