Super Bowl Loading: Jalen Hurts Sets Eagles' Training Camp Record For Most Passes Without An Interception

There's nothing better than being alive to witness history in the making. The world is billions of years old. Humans have been on the planet for somewhere around 100,000 years. When you think about our time on Earth relative to that, it's such an insanely short window. And the fact that we just so happened to be alive at the same exact time when Jalen Hurts was just 13 attempts away from breaking the Eagles' franchise record for most consecutive training camp practices without an interception? Well it's just crazy to think about.

And today, the sick bastard did it.

You could tell as soon as QB1 got to the NovaCare Complex today for practice that he was locked in. He knew what was on the line today, and he wasn't going to just let this moment pass him by.

He reached 157 with ease. But that 158th was about to be the most important training camp passing attempt of his life. Middle school, high school, Alabama, Oklahoma, everything has led him to this point right here. A moment to cement his legacy for all of eternity all came down to just one more passing attempt against his own teammates in practice, some of whom won't even make the final 53-man roster. Was he going to capture it, or just let it slip?

Think about all the great quarterbacks who have come and gone throughout the course of the National Football League. Has Tom Brady ever set the single Eagles' training camp record for most passing attempts without an interception? I think the fuck not. Peyton Manning? Dan Marino? John Elway? Joe Montana? Johnny Unitas?

Not a single one of those dudes have ever done what Jalen Hurts went out there and accomplished today. None of them have even come close to breaking that Eagles' record, actually. But Jalen Hurts is officially the guy. He's one of one. The only man in NFL history to ever throw 158 passes without an interception at Eagles' training camp. If that doesn't send a shiver down the spines of the other 31 defensive coordinators in the NFL this year knowing they need to figure out a way to stop this man, then I don't know what would. See everybody on February 9th!
