Jerry Rice Snapped At A Couple Reporters On A Golf Course In Tahoe Yelling "I Will Fuck You Up"

This story makes one thing very clear. Rice, Kansas City, and wide receivers are not an optimal mix.

Evidently a couple reporters asked Jerry on Thursday if the Kansas City receivers were good enough to win the Super Bowl this year which was apparently enough to set him off, screaming "I will fuck you up!!" in their faces.

Not gonna lie. I didn't have Jerry Rice on my bingo board of pro athletes going all Will Smith minus the slap on someone. He seems like the most congenial, happy-go lucky humble dude which adds to his wide receiver GOAT appeal. But I guess we all have our limits. We either die happy or live long enough to become Les Grossman.

So what were these limits? Rice claimed the question he was asked was a subtextual dig at him since the Chiefs were his rival during his playing years. Like we're all supposed to go - "Oh yeah, that totally justifies things then, yep, let's all move along now". Far as I can tell this was an event in which media was allowed to go to (as evident by the press passes) so it's not like he wasn't expected to be asked questions.

FYI - the look of shock is pretty funny from the reporters who were left trying to figure out what just happened. Sheer bewilderment.

This all makes me wonder. Was trash talking in the 80's overrated? Really dude? THIS is what set you off? It'd be one thing if he never won a Super Bowl, but Charles Barkley deals with that shit all the time, and he takes it on the chin like a damn pro.

The only reason I can think of is that he just did an interview for PMT while they were out there and had to listen to Hank explain how his summer's going. That would be understandable. Or maybe he just double bogeyed.
