I mean...I hate victim blaming. I really do. But at the same time, you just can't go around reaching one-handed for a ground ball like that with your eyes glued to the turf as you have an LSM rovering around the middle of the field looking to shut someone's lights off. You wouldn't really go around blaming a train for someone jumping on the tracks at the last moment.
HOWEVA
Trains typically don't play lacrosse. So that's apples to oranges. And even if they did, trains probably wouldn't intentionally target another player's head to take it clean off their body. So in that sense, we probably at least have a manslaughter on our hands here. You could hear that helmet pop even with the sound off. So all things considered, that LSM should probably get a lawyer on retainer for the rest of the season.
Sidenote: The dad screaming from the stands saw that one coming a mile away. Always tough when you can see an impending disaster but can't do anything to prevent it. He tried his best with that "don't stop!", but it was too little too late.
