Former Heavyweight Champ Francis Ngannou Learned The Hard Way That This Door Doesn't Open Both Ways

Is there any minor thing in life more embarrassing than trying to push open a pull door, and vice versa? I don't think there is. Every time you end up feeling like a complete and total jackass. Even if nobody else is around you, but ESPECIALLY when there's a crowd to witness your dumbassery. You think that everybody who saw you is going to spend the rest of their day telling everyone who will listen about this moron they saw trying to open a door the wrong way. That it'll be front page news on tomorrow's edition of USA Today.

Honestly, it ought to be illegal to make doors that don't blatantly tell you which direction it opens. I know you can look at the hinges. I know that a handle on the outside would theoretically make it a pull door. But still. That shit needs to be in bright color, extra bold font to tell you which direction to go. And unfortunately for former UFC Heavyweight Champion of the world Francis Ngannou, this door had no such label.

He needed to make a guess. He guessed push, and was immediately denied. But maybe this door actually goes both ways. I mean he was just there yesterday, and it actually goes both ways. And in fairness, shattering the glass technically opens the door. He could walk right in there as long as he could squeeze through the openings. I don't think he should have to pay to repair the door at all. It's not his fault it wasn't labeled.

See? It goes both ways.
