There's Something Objectively Hilarious About Grown Men Fighting On A Trampoline

While the world is seemingly going to hell in a hand basket, every once in a while it gives us a little treat to make us remember we're currently living in the best of times. The latest treat was Slam Ball coming back after a 7 year hiatus. I had no idea that Slam Ball was still around in 2016, but apparently it was.

To kick off the 2023 Slam Ball season, we had Ozone vs Wrath. You can throw out the record books when those two teams clash up against each other. A storied rivalry which has built up a bevy of bad blood. And with just over a minute to go in the 2nd quarter, the pleasantries were over and that bad blood started to boil over. The fellas started to come to blows, and...well...it's just that I feel like you can't be a grown man getting into a fight on a trampoline.

Don't get me wrong, I love fighting in all sports. I think there's a place in the game for enforcers across all competitive athletics. But that doesn't change the fact that we have a bunch of bearded dudes all bouncing around on a trampoline while they're trying to beat each other's skulls in. It looks like a bunch of rowdy youths at a child's birthday party. Like a parent is gonna have to run out there and take away cake privileges from everybody involved.

Maybe, just maybe, Slam Ball is the only sport that doesn't need enforcers. Or at the very least, you have to fight in the middle of the floor to make sure you're not having the time of your lives bouncing around on the trampoline during the scrap.

P.S. -- The fact that Slam Ball ever went away in the first place is baffling. This game rules so hard.
