Upon Further Review Of This Tuna Steak, Lincoln Riley Should Really Stop Cooking And Just Hire A Personal Chef

It was just a couple years ago when Lincoln Riley unveiled one of the most horrifyingly overcooked briskets the world had ever seen. At the time, I wanted folks to take it easy on coach. Smoking a brisket is tricky, and it takes cooking a lot of shitty briskets before you can finally figure out how to make a great one.

How he managed to make that brisket look drier than chalk is beyond me. But still, I wanted to call off the hounds. BBQ Twitter and Steak Twitter is far too eager to say that anything that anybody puts out online looks like dog shit. And sometimes they need to pump the brakes.

With that being said…well….maybe it's time for Lincoln Riley to stop manning the grill. Because upon further review of this tuna steak, maybe there's a chance that coach just simply can't cook.

Looks like a downright delectable cut of Ahi to start with. Looks like if you gave it to someone who knew what they were doing, it could have turned out immaculate. But instead, it looks like coach threw this tuna on the grill and then decided to make several dozen recruiting calls before he flipped it.

And therein lies the issue. Lincoln Riley needs to decide right now what he wants to be great at. Either coaching, or cooking. Because by the looks of it, he's not capable of doing both at the same time. So either this man needs to give up the playbook, or he needs to stop overcooking the shit out of everything he attempts to smoke/grill. Because by the looks of it, it seems like he at least has a rough idea of what he's supposed to do out there. Maybe if he had some more time to really dial in his process, he'd get it figured out. But then he has a few hours of game film to run through and never gets a chance to actually put it all together.

So either A) Lincoln Riley stops coaching college football, or B) I'll gladly accept the role as his personal grill master for $150,000 per year.

P.S. - If anyone is interested in grilling up some tuna this week, here's a great recipe for ya.
