I Won't Allow Zach Ertz To Continue Catching Heat For The Simple Crime Of Gassing Up The Boys

Jon Rahm is an absolute machine and currently playing some of the best golf we've ever seen. The man has either been winning or top 10'ing pretty much every tournament he plays in this year. He had 3 wins on the season before the calendar even flipped to March. So excuse Zach Ertz for wanting to gas up his boy a little bit in the group chat right before he put a peg in the ground to open up his Masters tournament.

You're goddamn right he shouldn't apologize for anything. Zach Ertz did nothing wrong here. In fact, he did what you'd want any great friend to do. Pump up the fellas with an unhinged amount of confidence before a big moment. Whether it's trying to get your buddy to go talk to that girl across the bar, or getting him ready for his opening round at The Masters. Whatever the occasion, you want your group of dudes to be filled with hype men.

I just can't sit back and allow people to say things like "Zach Ertz almost cost Jon Rahm a green jacket". If you can't gas up the fellas with reckless abandon, then what's the point of even being friends with someone? You tell Jon Rahm that first green is looking like a walk in the park because you believe your guy is about to make it his bitch. Did the first green end up eating Jon Rahm alive? Sure it did. But I'm sure he'd rather get that text right before he tees off than one that says something like "have fun, man, but just try not to double #1 haha jk". Guys just has faith in the boys. Although it's pretty easy to be overly confident when Jon Rahm is one of said boys.

Sidenote: JJ Watt playing a VERY dangerous game here with making the group chat public. Don't know how much you can trust a man who blasts out screenshots of the texts like that. Obviously there's nothing wrong with any of the texts out there but it's still a fine line to be walking.
