Cale Makar Is On Pace To Shatter 82 Ankles This NHL Season

Cale Makar is 23-years-old, soon to be 24 in a couple of weeks. He already had a Stanley Cup, a Conn Smythe, and a Norris Trophy to his name. So basically at this point, the rest of his career is just for fun. Unfortunately for the rest of the league, Makar's idea of "fun" is sick, twisted, and sinister. Because what this fella enjoys doing more than anything in the world is collecting ankles at the blueline.

Tyler Johnson, get your doctor on the line. In fact, I think every player in the NHL should do a quick Google search for the best ankle surgeons in the Denver area anytime they have a trip to play against the Avs coming up on their schedule. Always best to be prepared. Because that's one game down for the season and one pair of ankles already added to Cale's collection. Oh, and he also added 2 assists on the night just because he got bored.

Who knows, maybe with a few more games like that and a couple more Norris Trophies, Gary Bettman will actually learn his name.

UMass hockey legend Caleb Makar. First of his name.

I don't want to throw stones here because myself and my colleagues here at Barstool Sports [dot] com constantly fuck up names. But we're also not the commissioner of the National Hockey League getting the name of one of the most exciting young players on the planet wrong. Maybe he just spent too much time with Biz before the broadcast.

Sidenote: This was a great moment for Jack Johnson to get one last chance to celebrate with the boys. Sometimes Tummysticks are good.
