Some Poor Baseball Announcer Nick Castellano'd Himself As He Spoke About His Uncle That Passed Away Right As A Game-Tying Homer Was Hit

That's it, I've seen enough! Nick Castellanos must be arrested and charged with breaking the simulation we are all living in. Hitting one home run as an announcer pours his heart out is wild. Doing it again a year later in the same place is outright preposterous. But having this phenomenon spread into the independent leagues with the mere mention of the C word is straight up witchcraft. All poor Kyle wanted to do was tell the audience how he missed his Uncle Charles y'all and the Curse of Castellanos dropped in to create yet another viral sensation.

The question is where does it stop? Can people start weaponizing the Castellanos Curse to their own benefit like Kyle may have done here? Like if the Mets are down 2 in the bottom of the 9th with runners on the corners, does Gary Cohen start talking about his dead Nana then say Castellanos' name three times in a row like Bloody Mary in order to summon a game-winning YABO from Javy Baez? As is usually the case with the dark arts, there are more questions than answers. But at the very least, we can all agree that the good folks at Merriam-Webster need to add the word Castellanos to the dictionary as a verb for when an announcer gets absolutely bamboozled by a home run while giving a heartfelt speech.

Anyway, best wishes to Kyle's family. A lost of a loved one is never easy to deal with as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos. It will be a home run. And so that will make it a 4–0 ballgame.
