Frank Walks Episode 32: Travis Pastrana on the Nitro Circus Tour Presented by BODYARMOR
Over the past two decades, nobody has dominated extreme sports the way Travis Pastrana has. He made his X Games debut at the age of 15 in 1999, winning the Gold Medal in MotoX Freestyle. Performing in several different events, Pastrana holds several Guinness World Records.
Among Travis Pastrana's influences is Evel Knievel. In 2018, Pastrana successfully jumped into the fountains at Cesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Like Knievel, Pastrana has suffered many injuries as he has flipped nearly every vehicle that has wheels. He even fulfilled a dream of racing in the Daytona 500, finishing 11th in 2023.
These days, Travis Pastrana is running Nitro Circus, an arena tour of action sports featuring the new stars of extreme sports. I caught up with Pastrana in Hartford last week as he prepared for an event at the XL Center. The Nitro Circus tour will continue until December 16th, with stops in the Southeast coming next week.
