The Japanese Salty Plum or Umeboshi is a centuries old super food that is still enjoyed on dinner tables to this day. This Japanese delicacy is known to be an acquired taste due to it's SHOCKINGLY sour and salty taste. Your mouth immediately puckers and begins to uncontrollably salivate as your taste buds adjust to the sweet tang of pickled plums.
