Season 1 of 'Coach Prime' Is Coming August 29th

Season 1 of "Coach Prime" is coming to Barstool Sports' YouTube and barstoolsports.com on Sunday, August 29th. I’ve been involved with production at Barstool for four and a half years and I can confidently tell you that this will be the most polished product we’ve ever put out. 

We teamed up with SMAC Entertainment, hired a full crew, and shot for four months straight with some of the best-looking footage Barstool has ever seen. We have been editing our tails off (I don’t cuss when I know Coach Prime is reading) all summer. Think Hard Knocks x Last Chance U x Barstool Sports + DEION SANDERS. 

It’s an all-access look at one of the greatest players and characters in NFL history in his first season as a college head coach and we follow Coach Prime's mission of leveling the playing field between HBCU's and Power 5 programs. We follow the stories of many of the players on the team including his two sons. I could go on forever but I promise you do not want to miss it. 

There will be six total episodes that will air in a five-day period starting on Sunday, August 29th. There will be one episode a night from Sunday to Wednesday, and the final two episodes air on Thursday night. Jackson State then has their fall opener that Sunday (September 5th) against Florida A&M at Hard Rock Stadium, so you will be well-accustomed to the team by kickoff and can follow them all fall. 

I’m already back in Jackson shooting Season 2, so make sure you’re following along with the games.
