Celine Dion Recorded A New Song And Made A Music Video For Deadpool 2. Wait, What?
OH FUCK YEAH, LETS GET SEXY!!! I wish I had one iota of the creativity or brainpower of the people in charge of Deadpool. Everything from the promotion to the music to the movie is a 10/10. Getting Queen Celine to lend her golden pipes to a music video where Wade Wilson gets his Flashdance on while looking sexy as fuck in high heels is as funny as that voice is just like everything else Deadpool related: Ridiculous and ridiculously well done. Granted that video was only the second sexiest video released today.
Oh yeah and Celine x Wade is the number 1 trending video on YouTube and already hit a million views on its first day.
I honestly think I would rather pay $15 or whatever it costs for a movie these days to watch the whatever teasers and trailers they release for a Deadpool movie than whatever the next DC flick is. I guess that’s not saying much, but it’s the truth.
My sneaky favorite part of all this was Celine Dion tweeting to her fans to check out Deadpool 2 in the theater.
I imagine the overlap of the Venn Diagram for people that follow Celine Dion on Twitter and people that enjoy Deadpool movies is about as thick as a Wade Wilson pubic hair. You will know the people in your theater that only went because Celine told them to. They will be the ones puking the first time Deadpool makes a dick joke or there is a blood splatter on the screen. But their loss is our gain. We get Celine putting Deadpool 2 in the annals (haha annals) of soundtracks she has performed on along with Titanic, Beauty and the Beast, etc. while Mrs. Deadpool finally gets a song as beautiful as her face and her soul.
P.S. *INFINITY WAR SPOILERS*
*INFINITY WAR SPOILERS*
*INFINITY WAR SPOILERS*
Kinda wish Deadpool did some sort of subtle reference to Spiderman and/or half of the heroes in Infinity War now being ashes. It feels like that was a missed opportunity. I guess this tweet will have to be enough until Disney finishes its purchase of 20th Century Fox and all the Marvel heroes are under one, corporate umbrella.
