Eagles Sign WR Mike Wallace Because More Super Bowls Aren't Going To Win Themselves

On the CHEAP, too. Not too shabby of a signing. Basically replaced Torrey Smith with a faster version of Torrey Smith (with actual, working hands, hopefully). Is Mike Wallace going to burn the world? Of course not. He’s no the absolute scorcher that he used to be in his prime. But he’ll at least stretch the field and give Carson Wentz a consistent deep threat. Wallace has got experience as he’s only 1 of 10 guys in the league with 8,000 career receiving yards and 500 career receptions. The others? Antonio Brown, Larry Fitzgerald, Antonio Gates, A.J. Green, DeSean Jackson, Julio Jones, Brandon Marshall, Demaryius Thomas and Jason Witten. Not too shabby of a group. And he’s still got a little left in the tank. Last year in an ANEMIC offense with the Ravens he snagged 52 catches for 748 yards and 4 TD’s. In an offense that spreads the rock around as much as the Eagles, he’s going to fit in just fine.
