Rest In Peace To Legendary College Baseball Coach, Augie Garrido

Just a couple of days ago, we learned that former Texas Longhorns baseball coach Augie Garrido had been hospitalized with a “very serious medical condition.” Today, we lost a legend. He’s the winningest coach in college baseball history with 1,975 wins under his belt. The man guided his teams to five College World Series titles, three times with Cal State Fullerton and twice with the Texas Longhorns. For his coaching excellence, Garrido was acknowledged five times as the National Coach of the Year, and six times as the Big 12 Coach of the Year. The man was a legend and his passion for baseball was beyond anything I had ever seen before from a coach at any level. Hook ‘em for Augie today. Rest in peace, coach.
