Absolute Shocker: Michael Bennett Was Reportedly a "Pain in the Ass" and a "Problem" For Seahawks Coaches Last Year

The Seahawks offseason always was going to revolve around five guys.

Defensive end Michael Bennett became, to some degree, a problem for the coaches last year and his play was less consistent with a lower top end at 32. Safety Kam Chancellor and defensive end Cliff Avril are dealing with career-threatening neck injuries. And safety Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman (who’s also hurt) are going into the final year of their contracts.

So what GM John Schneider and coach Pete Carroll decided to do with that quintet would tell us what we needed to know about the direction of the franchise. And today, we got a much better idea with Bennett dealt off to the Eagles and Sherman clearly on his way out, barring the way outside chance that he’d accept a pay cut.

NO! You don’t say? I mean I for one cannot believe that one of the Bennett brothers is being called a “problem” for coaches. I’m shocked. You mean the guy who takes cheap shots like this on defenseless players is a problem?

Hypocrite.

Four years ago:

“People just really hate it when you have to dive at people’s legs,” he told NFL.com. “At the end of the day, we’ve got to keep going and move onto the next game and try to make a living. Some of these guys (on other teams) are our friends.”

The guy who treats reporters like shit when they ask him questions is a problem? Michael Bennett may be this strong advocator off the field for what he stands for and there’s nothing wrong with that, I support that, but on the field and apparently to his coaches as well he’s a fucking asshole.

Now with him off of Seattle, the team has become less hate-able. With Sherman likely gone in a few days they really won’t be as hated at all as the Legion of Boom days come to a close. Now all that happens is Philadelphia becomes hated which I don’t think anyone has a problem with if they aren’t a fan of the Eagles. Maybe he can be the one to tear that locker room in half?

But if you read that headline today and were shocked by the slightest then you’re the most naive person on the planet. Bennett and his brother Marty, who tries to bad mouth well-respected team doctors for no reason, make the NFL look bad. I cannot stand them.
