Christian Bale Hasn't Seen Ben Affleck As Batman And Seemingly Doesn't Care To

ComicBook.com- Many will compare Christian Bale’s Batman to Ben Affleck’s, but Bale couldn’t even if he wanted to.

“I have not [seen Ben Affleck’s Batman],” Bale told Josh Horowitz. “Yes I’m interested [in seeing it], my son seemed like he was really interested, but then I realized he just wanted to see the trailer and that was it—I tend to go see films that [my kids] want to see. I have to confess I’m not a huge superhero film fan. People seem surprised at that, I don’t know why. I’ve not seen any of the Avengers films or any of those films at all. I hear they’re very good, but I’m quite happy just hearing they’re very good.”

I actually laughed out loud when I read about this. Christian Bale, who’s arguably the most iconic Batman to ever put the cowl on, just said, “Nah, I’ll pass” on seeing Affleck try to live up to him in the DCEU’s shitty movies. Doesn’t even really care about any superhero movie, for that matter, and says he’s all set just hearing about them. He starred in the greatest one of all time, and decided the genre is just meh. Gives Avengers the ol’ “ahh deeda-deeda, GOOOOOOOD FOR YOU!!!”

He also revealed in that interview that he was in talks to play Han Solo in the spinoff film coming out this May, and while I’m sure he would’ve been good (despite me not wanting anyone but Harrison Ford to holster that DL-44), that would’ve pissed me off to a major degree being he’s a decade older than Harrison was in A New Hope.

Oh, and how about him playing Rear Ads in the upcoming Barstool movie?
