War Criminal Receives Guilty Verdict, Quickly Kills Himself Drinking Poison On The Stand

The Guardian – Croatian TV is reporting that a former Bosnian Croat general has died after drinking a phial of poison at a UN tribunal in The Hague. Seconds after his war crimes sentence of 20 years was upheld at the international criminal tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, Slobodan Praljak, shouted out angrily: “Praljak is not a criminal. I reject your verdict.” The 72-year-old then raised a small brown bottle to his lips, and drank it in full view of the cameras filming the hearing. “I just drank poison,” he said. “I am not a war criminal. I oppose this conviction.” Croatian television quoted sources close to Praljak as saying he later died in a hospital in The Hague. Dutch police declared the courtroom to be a crime scene.

Well then. I suppose that takes care of that. Thats the sorta shit that will make you question your verdict real quick. Either that or completely confirm it. Its either like holy shit we got this so wrong this dude is willing to die in protest. Or, this guy came to court with the poison ready because he was like “Fuck this shit I am so guilty.” Either way you gotta spin it as easy clean up. Welp, that dude is dead so whatever! Next case! They should have little bottles of poison available for anyone on the stand. Just like nips of alcohol on an airplane. Airplane nips are like “Listen we have these tiny little magical bottles that can make all your anxiety and stress disappear.” Same thing for these criminals except its fatal poison.
