The Kid Whose Miracle Half Court Shot Won Free Chick-Fil-A For The Entire Sixers Crowd Has Got One Hell Of A Story
WET! Initially the world just thought this kid was a big man who hit a few lucky buckets so an entire stadium filled with Hinkie Worshipers could land some biscuits (LOVE how every other time I’ve seen a contest like this the award is like $10K or a college scholarship…and the Sixers give out the equivalent to everyone in Chik-Fil-A). Good times had by all. But this feel good story goes so, so much more deeper:
Mike. Shelly. What a champ. Great for him for overcoming such adversity NOBODY should have to go through at a young age and providing a glimpse of inspiration to the Philly area. There are some things (somehow) more important than free Chik-Fil-A. Here’s hoping Mike enjoys his time with the team in March on the trip to Atlanta. Maybe by then Joel will indeed be, as Mickstape wants, in the running for president of the known universe.
