The 2017 PGA Tour Season Is Over; Here's How It Ended

Congrats to….. 23-year-old Xander Schauffele! Guy finished 26th on the Web.com Tour last year; today, he won the PGA Tour’s finale against the best 30 players of the year. Incredible. Made more money today (about $3.5 million) than he’d made the entire rest of the season.

Last year he made $149,000.

He sealed today up with this no-doubt birdie on the 72nd hole.

(eeeeeeeeek!)

The much more veteran Jordan Spieth (24) led the FedEx standings coming into the week, and tried to make things interesting, but ultimately missed a bunch of putts inside 10 feet and finished T7.

Still delivered some Spieth doing Spieth things moments.

He had a very, very good year: won 3 times, including the Open Championship, and was in contention down the stretch for the season-long (and $10 million) prize of the FedEx Cup.

He finished 2nd in the FedEx Cup. Here’s how those payouts break down.

While his year was very good, even Jordan knew it wasn’t the Tour’s best.

Career-year type stuff from JT. 5 wins? His first major? A 59 in Hawaii? A 9-under 63 at the U.S. Open? The FedEx Cup? Jesus Christ.

What a stud. He’s 24. We’ve come a long way since 2 different dudes won the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup.

Huge shoutout to our friend Kevin Kisner. That hero shot a 64 yesterday then took a damn chopper to make it to the Georgia game.

Legend.

Kiz led for a bit today, ultimately finishing T3 and 12th in the FedEx Cup. Awesome year.

Next up — Presidents Cup at Liberty National. We’ll be there. If you’re around, come find us — we’ll be following Kiz as much as possible.
