A Nazi Walking Around Downtown Seattle Gets Knocked Out And I Mean KNOCKED Out

BuzzfeedOn Sunday afternoon, a Twitter account called @bigotbasher posted a photo of a man apparently riding Seattle’s D line while wearing a Swastika armband.

One account called @teethnclaws posted a text saying that the man in the Swastika armband had been spoted on the corner of Seattle’s 3rd Avenue and Union Street.

Then just a few minutes later, a Facebook user named Shaughn Patrick Ffud shared a photo captioned, “Just watched a Nazi get knocked the fuck out.”

The man in the Swastika armband can be heard saying, “they deserve the welfare” before he’s hit directly in the face by a man in a gray sweatshirt.

The man doesn’t get back up. The camera then zooms in on him as a man behind the camera says, “night night.”

Crowdsourcing violence and vigilante justice over social media is a bad, bad idea.  We’ve all seen the downsides of turning to random unverified accounts on the internet, during times like the Boston Marathon for example, when people were being falsely accused and rumors were flying left and right.   The best option is always to contact the police and let authorities who are specifically trained to deal with these situations instead of unleashing internet mobs with their pitchforks out on witch hunts.

However.

In this very specific incident – am I concerned about a Nazi* with a big ass red armband featuring a big ass swastika walking around the very public downtown streets of Seattle yelling out racism and bigotry getting knocked the fuck out after his location was floated out on Twitter?

Well, it’s hard to say.

I don’t think I’ll lose sleep over it.

Night night!
