Tom Rinaldi Ends Awkward US Open Interview With Madison Keys By Calling Her Sloane Stephens

While the football game was at halftime last night I decided to flip over to ESPN where Madison Keys was putting the finishing touches on her semifinal dominant win over Coco Vandeweghe. Keys was clearly overjoyed with making it to the US Open Final and didn’t have much to say to Tom Rinaldi as kept asking her serious question after serious question in classic Tom Rinaldi fashion. As he’s on his sixth and final question he asks Keys what this means for American tennis (all four semifinalists were American) she says “it couldn’t get any better than this could it” as she gave her million dollar smile and walked away to cheers from the fans. The only issue was that Rinaldi sends her off with a “Sloane Stephens everybody!!” AWKWARD. Tom that woman you just gave a five minute interview to is in fact not Sloane Stephens. You had one job Tom. Goddamit.

For those not caught up in women’s tennis, this is Sloane Stephens

Not a great look Tom. By the way, do people enjoy Tom Rinaldi interviews at all? Whenever his face pops up on ESPN I sorta get annoyed because I know for a fact we’re about to talk about something dead serious. I mean I know it’s the guy’s job, but Jesus Christ man I don’t wanna be dead serious and tear up every time I see your face on TV.

P.S. I love Keys at -230 tomorrow night if you want free money
