President Of Philippines AKA The World's Biggest Drug Hater's Son In Trouble For "Allegedly" Smuggling $125 Million Worth Of Narcotics Into The Country

Source -  MANILA, Philippines — Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s son on Thursday told a Senate inquiry he had no links to a seized shipment of $125 million worth of narcotics from China, dismissing as “baseless” the allegations of his involvement in the drugs trade.

Opponents of the president, who has instigated a fierce crackdown on a trade he says is destroying the country, say they believe his son Paolo may have helped ease the entry of the drug shipment at the port in Manila, the capital.

On Tuesday, Duterte said he had told Paolo to attend the senate investigation if he had nothing to hide, besides advising him not to answer questions and invoke his right to keep silent.

Duterte promised Filipinos he would use deadly force to wipe out crime and drugs. Police records show more than 3,800 people have died in police operations since July last year, and more than 2,100 other reported murders are linked to drugs.

The police reject activists’ allegations that they are executing suspected drug users and dealers and say officers shoot only in self-defense.

Hypocrisy at its finest. President Rodrigo Duterte is easily the most anti-drug person on the planet. Four-thousand drug dealers have been murdered since he took office last July. No trials, no investigation, just speculation. And those are on-the-record deaths. Who knows what the real numbers are? Not only did he run his campaign as a violent Mr. Mackey, he repeatedly vowed to resign if any members of his family were involved in corruption. I guess Paulo didn’t get the message because he put his old man in quite the pickle. Got busted with $125 million worth of Columbian bam-bam.

It’s a tough situation for Daddio. The way I see it he has three options. He can either kill his son, resign, or change the rules. Blood is thicker than water and shit flows down stream so my bet is on the latter. The same way Dick Cheney became pro-gay marriage after his daughter came out, Rodrigo will become pro-drug. Probably hold a press conference outlining why he changed his stance. “The economic benefits of the drug trade far outweigh the negative impacts.” Which I’m fine with it, as long as he owns it. It may even boost his ratings. Family men always do better in the polls.
